Where can I get more information on UUCP protocols?
There is a FAQ posted to the news group comp.mail.uucp which goes into a good deal of detail on the format of UUCP files, the handshake process at the start of a connection, what some of the debugging output from uucico -x? means, and the internals of numerous UUCP protocols including the common g protocol and several others.
If you do not get this group, you can find the FAQ at ftp://rtfm.mit.edu/pub/usenet-by-hierarchy/comp/mail/uucp/UUCP_Internals_Frequently_Asked_Questions. If you do not have anonymous ftp access, send email to mail-server@rtfm.mit.edu; include the words "help" and "index" in separate lines in the body of your message.

@loudmouthman: correct, but how do you prove ANYTHING like that is accurate? You can't. A text file is no better or worse than anything. - Nov 21 07:40
@loudmouthman: well, a digital signature could prove it hadn't been altered. Text is no more insecure than anything else in that sense.
