Why does this "224" route show up in netstat -r? What's this 127 address?

It's OK- that's normal. The 224 network is the "multicast" network. It's the network used for broadcasting the same content to multiple machines anywhere in the world.

The 127 address is also normal- every machine can refer to itself using that address.

You aren't broken and there's nothing wrong.
