We have an immediate need for Release Engineer.

Job Responsibilities

Build and release company products on Solaris, AIX, Linux and Windows platforms;Perform system administration tasks on Solaris, AIX, Linux and Windows servers and workstations;

Create Perl and Unix shell scripting development of web-based engineering and build infrastructure tools, including the bug tracking system and code management systems;

Develop Java installation and configuration utilities, build tools and build automation support;

Maintain and enhance company's Ant-based automated build system;

Design and implement enhancements to the development processes and the engineering infrastructure.

Job Requirements

Strong knowledge of Perl, Unix shell scripting, Ant, C/C++ or Java, Unix environments and system administration;

Familiarity with CVS or other Unix-based revision control systems; Experience with installation and configuration of databases (Oracle, SQLServer, DB2) and of J2EE application servers (BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere) preferred;

Advanced scripting and automation development experience desired.

    @loudmouthman: correct, but how do you prove ANYTHING like that is accurate? You can't. A text file is no better or worse than anything.

    @loudmouthman: well, a digital signature could prove it hadn't been altered. Text is no more insecure than anything else in that sense.
